Just watched the ‘best driving roads’ episode from Top Gear. I’d be awfully stoked if I could go on a driving holiday. 2 requirements though:

1. Minimum age of 21 (unless you’re in NYC where it’s 18).

2. Minimum 2 years driving experience.

WHY?!

This means the summer of 2011 is the best possible date for a road trip in the near future. It’s before the Olympics and I’d have just met these two pesky requirements. That’s in roughly 600 days time? :(

When sufficiently bored, I will come up with a list of the places/things I need to do before I get old and have a bad back. Somewhere in between I’ll probably be mugging/whining in uni, and trying to earn pocket money to fund my epic excursions. I honestly don’t think anyone has quite any idea how expensive exciting my holiday plans are, or how unconventional they are as well.

I should work for Nat Geo or Discovery Travel & Adventure. Really.

11 June 2009- I passed driving! Biggest problem stemmed from being way too used to the army, as I asked for permission to change direction, and asked for permission to turn off the car engine at the end. Apparently that makes me indecisive. Thanks be to God, without whom I most certainly would have hit the vertical parking pole, which somehow does not like me very much.

I’m doing AC reasonably proud in the daily CS/Dota sessions. Think army improved my shooting with the carbine. I can almost hear LTA Jeffery shouting at me whenever I spray by accident.

The step-over is utilized to great effect in ballroom dancing. It is considered an essential move to learn. Maybe Ronaldo went for dancing lessons before picking up football? That’d explain the pink shorts, the theatrics, and yea, the step-overs!

Speaking of Ronaldo, I think we would have a decent summer if the 80 million quid is spent on Benzema, Ribery, and David Silva (optional). Of course, his transfer to Real could get screwed if he fails his medical. Then we could keep Ronaldo and let him rot in the reserves. Haha.

Leaving for Tokyo tomorrow night and I have no idea what to bring. Clothes, shoes, underwear, socks, a jacket, toiletries, books, ipod, phone (?), camera, chargers… am I missing something here?

don’t worry, you’ll probably pass before this person.

771 times and counting. you go ma’am!

The letter ‘L’ means ‘learning’ when placed in front and behind of a car which moves on the road. It should also stand for ‘loser’ as learners are typically nervous people who dare not change lanes, and have the capacity to stall at red lights. At least I only stalled 3 times!

Incredibly, my first ever driving lesson did not occur on a circuit, but on a public road, which strangely enough involved me driving past AC along dover road. I half-expected Dezzie Yap to come out of the school and laugh at me. Thankfully, he didn’t, and thus my car did not brake suddenly and cause any harm to innocent road users.

Went running on Friday night and Saturday morning with Zheng Hao, to school and Bukit Timah-Macritchie respectively. While running the beaten paths of the central catchment area, I couldn’t help but reminisce of the times when I sweated with Zheng Yang, Melvin, Slow and Nathan to win random races and feel high from endorphins.

Cannot wait to get started on driving lessons. The wait is driving me crazy, lol.

I passed my basic theory in fifteen minutes! hurrah!

Now I know anyone who has learnt/is learning how to drive will scoff at this ‘milestone’ (I probably will too after a while), but I don’t care. This is my moment, I passed basic theory! YESSSSSSSSS!!!
